7th District
New York’s 7th District is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives located in New York City. Before new congressional lines were drawn in March of 2012, it was known as the 12th District.
The new 7th district includes parts of:
- Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Bushwick, Red Hook, Sunset Park, and Williamsburg)
- Queens (Maspeth and Woodhaven)
- Manhattan (Chinatown, East Village, and Lower East Side)
In recent years, it has become one of America’s most ethnically diverse districts.
