Chair Christianne Cook
Christianne Cook has diverse personal and professional experience including extensive exposure to social activism and politics, working on Capitol Hill and growing up in Washington D.C. She has developed and implemented programs for both corporate and cause-related clients in development, community outreach, media and event production, as well as PR, marketing and corporate finance.
Working on Wall Street she initiated and nurtured new client contacts, domestic and international. She offered capital formation services, estate planning and trading at an established private Wall Street bank. She found her niche in corporate finance, and funded innovative alternative energy projects long before it was mainstream. The first deal she pursued provided $2.5M for a company that creates electricity from the movements of waves in the ocean. After 4 years on Wall Street she realized her passion remained social issues and the arts, so she brought her private banking experience back to the world of philanthropy and social entrepreneurs.
For the last three years she has spearheaded community outreach programs, complementary integrative health initiatives and workshops for enhanced internal competency action programs. She created and runs several volunteer programs for major New York City Hospitals. These programs provide healing through yogic techniques for patients and their caregivers. She has also been involved in several long-term UN Global Initiatives. Her life long passion and work is in support of the environment, improving people’s lives, healing, and elevating consciousness to create global impact.
